Grading is a means of rating boards according to variations in the wood's natural colour.below are the four grades we choose. These range from Heritage to Clear. For our tosca flooring we only use the select and above wood.
Clear
Clear Grade represents the highest quality product available in the prefinished marketplace. This grade is exceptionally uniform in both colour consistency and clarity and as such variations caused by staining, checking and mineral streaks, pin knots and character marks are not found in this grade.
Premier
Premier Grade highlights some of the colour variation that is found in natural wood.
Select
This grade displays the wood's natural medley of colour and character.
Heritage
Heritage Grade flooring has all the features of Select while it also includes an allowance for large filled knots that can be up to two inches in diameter.
